About the project
Es de día y veo la Luna brings together works in which fragments of language, printed images, and gestural marks complicate what a surface appears to reveal. The title holds a familiar contradiction: something can remain present even when we are taught not to expect it.
The 2024 painting incorporates burned pages from books donated by the Stonewall Museum. In the 2026 work, a printed self-image enters a field of translucent color and handwritten language. Across these different materials, memory resists a single, stable reading.
