About the project
In El cuerpo del lenguaje, language moves beyond the page. Painted words, cut canvas, and thread produce irregular forms that expose the tension between being named and being contained.
The works extend an investigation into social labels and self-representation. Their edges refuse the rectangular frame; words remain legible in places and become gesture, friction, or entanglement in others.

A found book is dressed in iridescent glitter, sequined butterflies, nails, and sparkling thorns, then held in an almost absurd binding. Ornament becomes both invitation and restraint: an attempt to make sensitivity visible that also keeps it inaccessible. The work asks what makes our own vulnerability so difficult to acknowledge.
